Matthew was very excited to start. We even went to the "First Day Jitters" event, time when parents and students can come and visit their classroom and meet their teachers, despite us already knowing the classroom and teachers. Matthew remembered that last year someone in his classroom brought treats on a special day and he asked if he could bring treats on the first day. His teachers liked the idea so the night before we made some chocolate chip and M&M cookies. Here's Matthew proudly displaying the cookies on his first day of the last year of preschool:

First Day of the School
Preschool started up again on Wednesday. Matthew returned to the same classroom and teachers, except now he will be going three days a week instead of two days. We debated whether we should put Matthew in the same classroom, but in the end we decided that both he and we really liked his teachers and he seemed to thrive in the classroom last year, so why change a good thing.
