Two Wheeler

I really didn't expect it to take nearly a year for Matthew to learn to ride a two-wheeler, but I should have known better considering Matthew's cautious personality. In the end, I can take no credit for him actually accomplishing the feat. All credit goes to his fabulous PE teacher. Near the beginning of February, Matthew's school started a three week PE unit on biking. Since his school is small (only 62 kids total), because they have the use of a full size high school gym, because they have 1/2 hour of PE every day, and because so many of his classmates could already ride without training wheels (peer pressure can be a good thing!); it didn't take too for Matthew to abandon his training wheels. He's still a little shaky, but his confidence is growing. He's adjusting to riding an uneven surfaces and in less than ideal weather. Hopefully spring weather is around the corner so we can get out a get more practice.
