New Year's at Noon

Last year my friend Shannon talked about a New Year’s at Noon party that she went to with her kids and I was thrilled by the idea. I totally forgot all about the idea and was excited when she decided to throw a kid friendly New Year’s party this year. We’ve never really done much for New Year’s with the boys, so the idea was a little foreign to them. But they loved the party hats, beads, and of course, the food.
Right before noon, we filled the kids’ glasses, watched the a YouTube video of last year’s ball dropping, and let the kids make Sunny-D or apple juice toasts to a great new year.

Seth, however, didn’t really see the point in waiting until the ball dropped to drink a sip or two.
To round off the celebration, we headed outside to pop poppers and snap snappers, and by some small miracle none of the kids were hurt in the process!
It was a great party and the kids (and us parents) all had a blast.
