Random Pictures

There were several events during July that I intended to post about, but I never got around to it. So, I'm just going to post some pictures with brief descriptions from July and also some more recent pictures of the boys.

One Saturday in July we crashed Aunt Michelle's company picnic. There was lots of fun things for Matthew to do. He literally ran from one thing to the next. There were several giant blow-up slides, water slides, and trampolines as well as a "fishing pond" with prizes, giant bubbles, and wading pools. Matthew's favorite was the bouncing house. He loved it. I was a little concerned for his safety because there were some pretty big kids in there, but he didn't mind being smashed and knocked around here and there. He wore a smile the entire time he was in and we had a hard time getting him out. The pictures a really fuzzy because they were taken on the other side of a plastic window, but I thought that they were worth including.

Matthew came home from church a couple of Sundays ago with a new bike. Apparently, a women in the ward was giving away the bike and she asked all the Sunbeams if they had a bike and Matthew was the only one that said he didn't. He is pretty reluctant when it comes to trying something new, so it's been difficult to get him to ride it for very long (one of the reasons that we had held off on getting a bike for him). But I think that he'll get a hang of it soon.

Matthew is adjusting to his role as big brother. Everyday he seems to be getting better about sharing the attention. He's very good to Seth. Matthew helps me get things for Seth, loves to hold and give Seth kisses, and even sings to Seth on occasion. Here's some pictures of the two together:

Finally, a few pictures of Seth. I realize why the every child after first doesn't get as many pictures . . . it's not that you don't want to take pictures, it's just a lot harder to take pictures when you have an older child to look after too. These are some pictures of Seth's first bath at home and some pictures that I managed to take of Seth all by himself while Jon and Matthew were running errands. I'm hoping that we can get some more pictures of Seth soon. He's really a lot cuter that these pictures show, but of course, I'm pretty biased.

When you see those little newborns in a bathtub--they are so cute and itsy! Sweet.

Is that "the Mary" who just posted? My "we're tight" best friend forever?! ;)

I wanted to mention that the girls both have bikes now--we should take them out together to the church parking lot or somewhere they can just go.
